Yeah and the kit is only £25 for belt and tensioner and should only take an hour as there straight forward. Got a knocking from under the car on initial hard acceleration, either rear engine mount or exhaust hitting the underside as its got a cat back system on it.

Id bet money on it being the exhaust

Oops better get mine done to then as i thought it was 40000 then 60000 after.

belts were done on my GTI at 51k, not because they wer freighd or noisey, purely so they were done.

you'll need to get that thing cleaned, bloody boggin :lol:

Right guys took the car to work today and gave it a quick wash and took a few pics, needs the wheels refurbing badly as 3 of them are in a sorry state.

Tonight i took some cleaning gear from our valeters and gave just the inside a clean..................2 hours its took me tonight just to hoover the bloody thing out, it was minging to say the least..... i dread to think what the state of the mk3 will be like after a week or so. All the seats need a wet vax but ill get round to doing that at work on my dinner.

Well let me know what ya think :)


Oh and i made a new set of number plates and fixed the remote central locking by putting a new FORD Galaxy remote fob on, lol i know the key looks daft but now works mint :)
Also taking off the cupra sport badges and going to refurb the wheels, should i go black.................or white................?
