Hi all,

I have just bought a LEON Cupra 1.9 (150) from the company I work for. I have driven it a few times and love it! I dont take ownership properly until next week and its in the garage having some scratches repaired at the mo so I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the brake calipers on the cupra are much different to the Brembos on the LCR? I have found a place on ebay that sells Brembo transfers so I thought I could paint mine red to look like those and put the transfers on. What do you think? Good idea or are the calipers significantly different in size + shape.

Thanks all

Fair enough, I though perhaps they were just less fancy Brembos. Do the LCR Brembos fit on the Cupra? how much different are the disks in size?

Also on a different matter can anyone reccomend a remap for the 1.9 tdi 150 other than Revo or Superchips? Preferably someone with firsthand experience.

Thanks

Tim

If you want a brake upgrage go to 312mm discs with uprated pads.

As for remaps there are numerous companies. A search will show you a few well regarded ones.

Brembo's are 4 pot calipers, 323mm brake discs
150 tdi are 1 pot calipers, 288mm brake discs.

You can get new 312mm caliper carriers, upgrade discs and pads and you got yourself 100% improvement on the standard 150bhp ones.
