Hi All

Ordered a 1.4DAB (Black Magic) on Monday so I can see myself popping into the forum from time-2-time for tips and hints.

Already had a look at one or two posts and was disppointed to see that delivery is being delayed, I was told it was going to be next weekend, or thereabouts, haven't heard anything to the contrary yet.

Also surprised at the price some of you guys have managed to pick yours up for, local dealer wouldn't budge on RRP, but I did get £500 more trade in than anyone else was offering. Like the sound of the dash aluminium kits as I have to agree that the dash is a little bland, still the missus, and it's her car, likes it.

Further surprised to hear the instruments are white and the rear quarters open, dealer had no info on the DAB other than it was the same as the standard 1.4 Sport with 10 more BHP, DAB Radio and Steering wheel controls.

All the best

Hi There and welcome

I have ordered a new DAB in Red, canny wait for it. Mine is currently on the ship from Spain says my dealer, and it should be ready for me but the end of the month.

He says that Seat have had problems at the UK port because they are not coming over with the correct spec and therefore they are taking longer to get through.

Never mind it will be worth the wait!!

Lively board indeed, less than 2 hours and 4 replies. I'm guessing you guys have access from work. The net nannies at my place block forums and sites such as adult, warez ect. Quite right too I suppose.

Shortly after that earlier post I had a call from the dealer, tells me they've sourced a car and we're still on for next weekend or by the end of the month at the latest.

Be interested to know if any of you guys have created mp3 CDs for the Blaupunkt Nashville yet. The Sony I have in my car is a bit fussy, doesn't support long filenames but it will read ID3. Also had a bit of a result, my missus old car (Punto) had a Blaupunkt head unit, I installed a CDC-A08 10 CD Changer, so whipped that out before I took it for trade in.

Was fully expecting to be sticking it on eBay but now pretty confident it'll go straight in the Ibiza.

The CDC A08 should fit no problem.
I have also just ordered a new Dab but don't know when It will be here..
I don't know If you know but the Nashville also takes SD cards up to 2 GB which you can pick up for about £12 now on the net.
That's what I plan to do buy 5 or 6 memory cards and put music on them.
Might also make up some MP3 discs.
I'm not sure If it will support WMA files.
Looks well nice in the black.
My other car is black which Is why we went for the yellow.
I also like it in red.

Norrie,if you are going to use SD cards, the stereo only works with the MP3 format. The stereo ignores all other types of music file. Works well with MP3 files though. Pretty sure the CD player only plays MP3 from copied discs as well.

I only use MP3 so I could be wrong on the CD player but i've tried WMA on a SD card and it didn't work.

All my music is recorded in WMA files on the pc.
Is there a way to convert them back to mp3 when I record onto the memory card or will I have to upload all my music again on to the computer?

Thanks.

Norrie.
