new member, and upcoming Cupra owner. I signed a contract to purchase a Cupra Tavascan, endurance model, but with the adrenaline package.
car is expected to arrive week 10….

here to get together with other Cupra Tavascan owners, and to learn about the car too.

Welcome. I'll read with interest how you find the car. EV is the way to go on new cars if you intend to keep them or ICE if you want to have one of the last ICE beasts in your collection 🤣. Probably got another ten years of buying ICE vehicles, life span of a car circa 10 years so no great sweat to the anti EV people. It's on a cusp thou.

I quite like the usefulness of being able to connect up the battery to the house to power it during power cuts 😂 (with the right house charger that does the invertor thing). Real plus living in a rural area with wind damage to powerlines. Heat pumps in the house you'd soon get through the battery but to power up oil or gas central heating and lights it would be a real plus. Impressed with solar so I'd add the EV as the battery. Obviously this wouldn't be a selling point for people living in urban areas. Increasing electricity supply problems with climate change and wind damage to powerlines. That Tavascan menu option.
