why do you need main beam when you have hids? use the headlight adjuster up and down to match and better what main beam would be

mainbeam flash wont be that good on hids as they take a little to warm up so the flash would be dull anyway.. cant see the need for main bulb hids

I had HIDs for both my main beam and dipped beam for over a year; I hid (good pun eh?) the ballasts in the inner wings by removing the arch liners and cable tying to the wing supports. The main beam can be a bit slow to react with HIDs due to the fire-up time, but once lit they are damn bright! I have now switched my main beam to 130w (100w extra brights) blue-tinged bulbs rated at 6000k with a seperate wiring loom to avoid damaging anything.. These are a pretty good match for the HIDs, but still a bit yellow.
