New Leon TDi Sport DSG remap?

Has anyone remapped a New Leon TDi Sport DSG, I'm concerned before I do this that the DSG box may not like the extra power.

I know they put a very similar one into high powered Audis and Golfs but it may have different tolerances in different cars?

Any comments and experiences would be useful!

That sounds about right but I need to know bhp and nm figures to know whether a remap is possible?

I don't think anyone is too sure (except maybe the tuners) but there is talk of the limit being around 250lb/ft of torque and around 250bhp.

Considering the new 170PS engine pushes out 258lb/ft the limit maybe slightly higher I don't really think you would have any problems. Remember the clutches are wet in the DSG and the power delivery is a hell of a lot smoother than the older diesels.

Hi

I have tuned a good few of the DSG equippmed 1.9 and 2.0 TDI.

Please contact me for a member discount, and for any other help or information.

I think a customer has quite recently left feeback under the guestbook section of www.p-torque.co.uk

He had a Skoda with the DSG, and needed more power for towing.

Best Regards

I'll give you a call about it.

I've just spoken to Superchips who would charge £500 and guarantee anything down to the remap that SEAT would not cover for the first year. They said there would be no problems with the DSG gearbox as they have tested it.

If you give me a call/e-mail Im sure I can beat Superchips price, whilst also giving you the guarantee that your car is as reliable as it is now.

Paxman, did you get your remap done? If you haven't yet and want some words of encouragement, I've had my TDi DSG Altea done and its brill!
The box really suits the remap. Terrific all round, smooth and full of oomph. Celtic did mine and well pleased.
If you haven't already..... Go for it.!

Thanks for that matey

That does encourage me, I'm in the process of getting it done, apparently due to my car having bluetooth the ECU has a different code that REVO haven't sorted a remap for yet. The code's been sent to them bt I'm now waiting for Wesley at Parkstone SEAT to let me know he's received the remap and get it downloaded!

Is it properly quick now? I had a Civic Type R before and want the power band to be a bit wider and maybe lower the revs at higher speeds for better MPG on Motorways?

Revo say some strange things.

Bluetooth should not be a problem at all.

P-Torque, ur a bit far from me which is why I didn't call. I'm in Essex.

Revo said the code started with EC at the front and they hadn't come across that before, Wes at Parkstone said it may be partly to do with the contacts on phonebook being saved on the ECU?

Yes it is fairly rapid and the power spread is better than before. Not driven a CTR, but I would think you have a lot more low down, and higher revs wise, then the civic will be in a different league as it relies on revs. For instant urge, the remap will hit the spot.
It was p-torque's encouragement that got me to go from tuning box to remap.
My remapper came out to me, which was one of the attractions.
You will love it when its done!

Revo haven't said anything, one of our dealers has.

Car in question is brand spangly and we haven't catered for the specific ECU code yet... that's the long and short of it!
Paxman, I'm sure you'll love your car even more once you've software installed. Fantastic engines, especially when combined with the DSG box!

That sounds a bit more realistic to me!

Imm well i said that the Blue Tooth may be something to do with it as it has a different code to what we have come across, it was my assumption that it could be down to the stored information, but the code was not the same as the rest and revo didnt have that one ie could be the spec. But as soon as i get it then contact would be made. NO LIES.. looks like you are tring to sell the man your code?

No, just advising him that someone has a lack of knowledge and is trusting them with his car ;)

ps) Its not a code, its a programme

Ok im sorry about that but with revo systems they have made it so easy a monkey do it, if the ecu number is on the computer (Program/code number) But i will not argue with you as you would know more about that than me as i do not write the programs/codes just upload them onto peoples cars.

But im sure that your codes are great and your knowledge is exceptional :)
