I'm pretty sure I have tried it all ways, engine running and not, formated in the PC and the car etc... I reckon I have run the procedure at least 20 times with various cards and always the same result.

I have spoken to the dealer today and expressed my concerns with the "Seat Technical" department's comments. They are apparently going to pass on my response to Seat and see what that brings. Perhaps their response will be that you can only use memory cards that are the same colour as the car or something equally ridiculous.

Obvioulsy there are people here that it works OK for and at least one other person that it does not work for, so I suspect it is a firmware issue on some cars.

The stupid thing is that it is really not that much of an issue to me, but if it is a feature that should (and does for some) work, then I would like it to work.

The dealer said they have another (brand new) Leon in the showroom with the media system 2 and they are willing to try my CD and memory cards on that one. Just means another 60 mile round trip.

Paul..

Is it a facelift leon

Hi there,
I have weird problem with SD memory card :S if I put SD card in Seat Media System, the card doesnt stay in for some reason. If Im keeping the card in, while holding my finger over it, Systems start to read it... and it works but when I move my finger away SD card gets out :( Im probably stupid for using this... dont laugh... still any suggestions... didnt find any infos in manual... thxxxxx...

greeetz...

You need to press it in until it clicks and then it should stay in. Press again to click it out, just like a retractable biro or something. If it's not clicking when you press it all the way into the slot, I think there might be something wrong with it. :(

Did anyone ever sort this issue out?I have a 09 plate FR with the RNS 310 unit and am experiencing identical problems-loads for approx 1/2 hr then shows CD Error.Looking on the memory card shows 104 mb of info downloaded made up of folders containing European data (presumably the major roads) but no UK data.

If you have the 310 the map data runs either from a CD or SD card, so is yours on the SD? ,if. It is and it gets corrupt you have no way of reinstalling with out the CD, plus one should have come with the car if the media. System. Was fitted by Seat.

Not sure, just took delivery and it's brand new. No cd with the car, I did ask and he seemed to think I didn't need one.

Sd card slot is empty.

Seat factory installed. I'll have to chase them for one, few other things so they'll have a list.

If you have the Media System 2.1 it does not need the CD but the Media system 2.0 which came with the 2009 facelift cars uses the card / CD. When I had my car the CD was delivered a week later.
