Im also looking for a great windscreen cleaner/polish ive used the autoglym stuff but it
chalks up,

Also required a decent polish, sealant and wax for my car something that gives a really good wet look, im open to any suggestions,

many thanks

Hi,

Zaino offer a good system for cleaning and conditioning leather. It also contains that new leather smell so your leather will not only look fresh but smell fresh also.

Poorboy's natural look dressing is a great product for interior plastics.

Autoglym Glass Polish is a great product, sounds to me that you are using too much at one time if you are having problems with it chalking up. Less is more with that product.

If you are after a wet look then you need a wax. It all depends on your budget really. Dodo have some great waxes that will meet your requirements as will poorboys nattys blue.

When you say polish is this something you are going to apply by hand to try and remove swirls and so on?

As for microfibre towels poorboys have a great range but the best I have used are the Marvel Scratchless Buffing Towels from rubbish boys.

German applicators and the meguiars applicators will see you well.

Lee.

sounds brilliant ive been told

p21s total auto wash is a good engine cleaner,
raceglaze leather cleaner and leather balm,
blackfriar metal polish,
303 aerospace protectant on the engine,

also looking for a wash shampoo maybe a foam lance and some degreeser/cleaner,
bug and tar remover,
detailing clay,
tape to tape up,
tyre dressing too,

with regards to wax do i need a polish i dont know which is the best way to apply and same for sealant too,

wax im willing to pay good money for a good item but obviously not mega money,

its because my cars going for a full respray and i want it to be kept as immaculate as possible

also what about companies such as

poorboys natty paste (wax) etc
p21s carnuba (wax) and glazes
zymol (range)
swissvax (range)
chemical brothers

sorry for so many questions i just dont want to do what ive done before and buy all from one company and expect it to be great then have wasted all my money on stuff that doesnt perform well and is a nightmare to apply etc,

The best degreaser you will get is simply meguiars super degreaser. Can't be beaten IMHO.

Can't comment on Raceglaze never used their stuff before.

303 is another product that wont let you down and a must have for protecting plastics after degreasing and cleaning.

My favourite shampoo is poorboy's super slick and sudds but Z7 leaves a finish that I have yet to find beaten. Some on here might back that up after the recent sample run we had running.

Tar remover, again there is only really one that people use and that be autosmart tardis.

As for the tape 3M 3434 High Performance masking tape. Leaves no sticky residue and it an automotive tape for such needs.

Tyre dressings depend on the finish you want, if you want a very shiney finish then something like Megs Endurance or you can use Zaino Z16 and buff of for a more natural look.

If you are getting a full respray then ask them not to touch it afterwards and then you can clean it without causeing any damage and you shouldn't need a clay as yet or a polish.

You can seal then wax, just seal or just wax. If you want the wet look I would sugest just adding multiple layers of a good wax and keep topping it up as often as you can.

You could get a clay to remove any overspray if needed.

Most companies stock these products including ourselves and Rubbish Boys who also sponsor this forum.

If you speak to Rubbish Boys about wax I'm sure he will help point you in the correct direction with Dodo. Again I don't have much experience with their range as I use others but one day I will venture into the world of Dodo.

Most products avaiable from any good detailing supplier will be good in their own way it's all about tenique and use.

Hope this helps,

Any questions then please ask away.

Lee.
