New Head Unit doesnt remember stuff

I have removed my aura HU which worked fine.

However, since I have put in my new Kenwood HU, it doesnt remember any settings. ie its as if everytime I turn it on its the first time its ever been used.

The kenwood HU wiring pulg goes straight onto the seat leon one, so there is nothing that could be at fault there. (I hope)

IS the constant live likely to be in a different place on the plug (unlikely)???

Do I have to make my own live switch to the kenwood HU???

Anyone else had this problem???

Undo the bullet connectors on the kenwood loom and conect red to yellow and yellow to red and when these are swapped over your problem should be cured

Ahh wicked, that sounds like a luchtime at work car park job - nice

I take thats just swapping the constant live and the ignition only live??

Yes your just swapping the permanant and switched live wires as there the opposite way round on vag cars,also you might find that your radio reception isn't as good and for this you require an in line aerial booster which fits between your aerial lead and your radio

Err thanks for that, but some times its easier to ask again, rather than try and work out what to search for etc
