new front wiper blades- difficulty finding

hi all- new member and new to seats altogether- i bought a 2001 alhambra a few days ago and as usual with new cars i like to change things like the wiper blades air filters and the likes- however i went into halfords bought some front wipers that fit (according to their wiper booklet) and they don't fit at all- in the end i came out with nothing- could anyone shed any light on a correct set number or where i may be able to get some other than a local seat dealer? i wouldn't have thought there was a problem getting hold of any- the wiper arms do look quite thick- are they different for a mark1 and mark2?

Morning Pando iirc the Alhambra mk1 1995/6-2000 and early mk2 2000-2002 blades are the same (so are Galaxy and the Sharan) I remember i swapped the wipers on a friends 97 Galaxy onto their 01 Sharan a couple of years back.hth

Thanks for replying- yeh i went back to Halfords and another member of staff kindly did a more thorough search and i've come away with a pair now- non the less the ones they state in their little wiper booklet was wrong- the guy computer searched instead and went and fitted them for me for free as a kind gesture
