New FOB key problem

Okay so my previous remote key was toast since buying the car. It was functional but the buttons where squashed from the previous owner so I went ahead and ordered a completely new one from one of the dealers that my insurance recommended to me. All well I drive to the dealer to get my new key but even they didnt manage to sync it together with the car so they told me they would call me back later. I drove off and for the past day I've been trying to reasearch on how to get my fob to connected to my car with no success. I've looked in my owners manual and even that didnt help so as you can see this has made be upset at this point seeing as Im very impatient unless anyone here can help me I'll have to wait for my dealer to get back to me or vice versa...

Edit1: I own a SEAT LEON 1P 2011
Edit2: The battery is working in the key

I would appreciate any help a lot!

Hey man, just had a look online, have you tried this?:

“wont need dealer to do a reprogram...

sit in the car, lock the door using the button on the door

insert the key into the ignition and turn the IGNITION on only... press the unlock button about 8-10 times, then press the unlock button 8-10 times too.

remove the key and try locking/unlocking it should work...
worked on my mates mk5...no need to go to dealer! its something to do with only having 40seconds to change the battery!”
