On looking to find cheaper brake pads for Leon Cupra R I came across the company in the name of Galfer.
It so turns out that they are the supplier of 80% of OEM Brembo equiped cars ie,Brembo do not make the pads that are fitted to LCR from new.I can proove this by showing the box thart new pads from Seat Dealer come in.
There is now a sole Galfer impoter in the UK by the name of Leda Suspension,
Contact :- John Stubbs
Spoken to him over the last couple of days and quoted me £31.45 + Vat for a set of LCR front pads - not in stock at present, but has ordered at least 5 sets direct from Spain, as this is where they are manufactured, not a stones throw away from the Seat Sport factory.
Anyway that is a huge saving on Dealers price of nearly £100. John said he would be willing to offer further discounts of up to 25% on these prices for a group buy and all the other products that they do. They do disc upgades and different Pad materials from std road to race spec. Although the LCR is not listed for just pads on thier website at the moment,it is listed for disc upgrades along with Leon 20vt /FR Give him a ring or visit http://www.galfer.co.uk/ for futher info
Ps I'm waiting for delivery time before he will process my order and I'm also looking at disc upgrade to 'Extreme' two piece with anodised Red Aluminium Bells.

Hope this might help out with Rip off cost of so called 'Brembo Pads'
Rob

For sure,
He's a very gend up chap, Races a Intergrale and knows his brakes and suspension.
I just came across him buy chance, but having spoken to him it seems like he could do with the trade ,as he as only been Galfers importer for about 9 months.
I cant say for sure what the product is like but he rekons with his race experience that they will be mainstream within a year i.e more well known.
give him a call I'm sure you wont be disapoinited.

Galfer is OE pad on Brembo's and ok as a regular road pad.
DS2500's are a better pad in performance terms for harder use.

So the Galfer 'performance' pad's for £65 inc VAT & P&P should be just as good as the £130 pads from SEAT? (but not as good as DS2500's).

Brembo do not make pads, Galfer make pads for Brembo, therefore your OE kit is Galfer.......If anyone has a set from the dealers they even say Galfer on the box.

DS2500 pads are better than OE

Carbon Metallics are the best, but expensive and brake dust is bad (refurb your alloys due to the dust = bad  ).....but they are soooooo good :)

Im sure the 1055 pads were £65 inc Vat & P&P, I have the prices at home so if no one else posts the prices before me then I will post them later.

There was mention of a discount for a group buy, any one interested?
