Hey,

Just spent the evneing trying to fit a neuspeed engine mount. I dont know how it compares to the powerflex or EIP (obviously the EIP is a complete unit)

The kit has 2 bushes, but i couldnt find a way to use both bushes. the bolt just isnt long enough.

Am i doing something wrong?

Was it hard for anyone to screw the whole mount together with both bushes installed.

Ive put it all back together using just the thicker bush, and the wheel hop i got when accelerating from a standstill has all gone.

Cheers
Rob

I managed to get them both in ....eventually, used a vice to compress just enough to get the screw to engage....then took it off, the vibration was awful, tried it with just the Thicker bush and the thinner rubber bush, much better, now got the EIP Dogbone...spot on!!

Well im happy i think with the way it is i think.

dsrr: you've had all three options, did you notice any real improvement when going to the EIP over the single larger bush?

I would put the other one on if i was u, a couple of people on other threads have recommended agaings going half and half cos it puts more pressure on the shitty stock rubber one.
Also as far as im concerned the extra vibration is hardly noticeable tiny bit in low revs but idle and normal driving are the same as with the stock ones.

ive both poly bushes fitted and the vibrations have settled down already after a few hundred miles, i dont even notice it now. why bother replacing just one? youll end up just as bad.

I started the job when i got home from work last night, bright and sunny at 6 o clock, thinking it will be an hour or 2 job max.

After trying to work out what was wrong and searchign the net to see if i had faulty bush. and trying to make it fit together.. it had got to 10 o clock and dark and cold.. and my car was sitting in the drive in the way... had to do something..

and neuspeed recomend only putting the larger bush on if the vibration is too harsh, so i assumed it wouldnt be a problem and would be a temporary fix if anything and alow me to get the car off the axel stands and moved out the way so i could ask some questions on here.

I have to say that I disagree with the above, that is if you are talking about using both the neuspeed bushes
Both neuspeed bushes:
pro's - absolutely no wheel hop, very positive feel to gearchange and on / off throttle
cons - awful vibration, low gear / low revs, deep bass like vibration that gives you a headache if you have been driving the car all day, can feel severe vibration through the seat of the car even tried these for approx 2 weeks, 1000 miles mixed driving...then went to using one stock small bush and the one larger neuspeed one
One stock,one neuspeed:
Better, still some deep bass resonance when pulling away from a start, little or no wheel hop, quiet a good compromise if you have both.Fitted for a two weeks whilst awaiting delivery of EIP Dogbone
EIP Dogbone
Pro No vibration, much better than standard, little engine movement although can still induce some wheelhop in the wet
Cons, basically paying £105 for two bushes fitted into a stock mount, way too much for what it is in my opinion

Summary
Fully polybushed Dogbone too hard, can't speak for using powerflex bushes but for everyday use not acceptable, would go with std bush / Neuspeed combo though but for comfort / performance if you dont mind paying over the odds go with the EIP Mount

...Just my experience having tried all 3 not doing anyones choice down at the end of the day it is down to personal preference!!
