how could i set this up + i'v got an head unit, amp, sub and comps to fit as well.
dont know how i would use the lap top(dvd,mp3) if its a wast of time having one in the car???
the only time i'v seen a lap top used is in films(u all know what film i'm on about  )
i cant think of anywhere that a lap to could go apart from the boot but i thought having a laptop in the boot would be a wast of time??

mate, do a bit of research on mp3car.com and its forums... will let you know..

But, surely, if you don't know what it is/does, why do you want it?

The laptop is a SMALL form factor pc unit, its the "brains" if you like. This sits in the boot and saves space/power requirements over a desktop PC tower in your boot! LMAO
You can run a laptop on 12v. This is then plugged into said tft touch screen that acts as the keyboard/mouse/screen and is mounted on/in the dash.

Check out my website guides on www.leoncupra.co.uk to give you an idea.
Most people use laptops as they are cheap secondhand and dont require lots of modifications. I used a small form factor PC as it was more customised and faster for what I needed.

Basically the laptop would plug into your aux in on your headunit, and play sound through that. you could then watch dvds, sat nav, mp3s, divx, wifi, or whatever.

Oh, and me being in a picky mood tonight, great is spelt GREAT, not grate! LOL

just boys and there toys. saw this for sale and thought it mite be a good deal.

ya i kind of know it would be the brain of it all just want sure how it would all work/comes to gether thats all. so its a cheep way of having a sat-nave, dvd and mp3 all in one. i was thinking of getting an i-pod but if i get this i wont need to??
i wouldnt really be putting it all in my self as i dont know what i'm doing with.
so at a later date i could add more screens to the pc set up??? the only proplem i have of mounting it in my dash that i have the air con/tri comp in there so i couldnt have it in where u have it. its to go in to a ibiza cupra (2001).
