Yeah I've heard organic for stage 1 but paddle for stage 2 even stage 3 depending on the torque your pushing and sure might as well hopefully they can put my mind at ease on the clutch searching lol. If they do not sell uprated release bearing with the clutch where and which one lol.?

I know what you mean, I went camping last weekend at shell island, I asked for the high boost high performance mode for the manual Revo map against Revo a advice and it started slipping loads on the way back from wales. 10 month old factory orders car back in stock mode for the time being, foot to the floor no slip what so ever.

Once petes got back to me I'll let you know everything I'm having and where it's from and cost.

Search the forums for clutch release valve I think and see what you think. Saw it bob up the other day and from what's been said on there I can agree with

The curves are slightly steeper compared to other Revo I.E the turbo and torque are going for it at 1500rpm where as most are flat until 2000rpm

I know right, I felt a massive difference in power delivery when I had the low boost which should be installed on manuals this was two weeks ago after I had to go and have my stock fileput back on for my first service with Seat. Two weeks of low boost = to much slip hence this thread in the forum.

I was hoping to stay stage 1 and get my exhaust done first before my clutch

My correction figure is 15% on my map but it's a hub based dyno so it's far more accurate than a rolling road and not been manipulated by tyre pressure or strapping the car down to tight. Still the curves are the curves no arguments.

Awesome GTI and VRS both said Revos lowest setting for safety is still stupidly high on torque compared to all the rest of reputable maps

Did your first service go alright with the car being in stock mode from revo or did nothing get mentioned?.

No TD1 alert, no flash counter alert. There hasn't been a warranty nullified by flashing on the MK3 that I've seen or any one has reported.

Pete from demon performance centre in Crewe which I've used for years on performance hatchbacks has said not have the clutch system which VRS Northampton use on the basis that, it will fit and will work but they can't guarantee that it will last the test of time, and that warranty won't cover it with it being separate components.

I would take petes word for it, as he's highly recommended and well known for his reputation. There's the better part of 250-300£ labour involved and another 2-£300 worth of other work I was gonna have carried out at the same time, so for him to say no to that sort of money in work is highly respected to say the least to want to see me with a product that would work and last.

I'm rather peeved by this but at the same time I'd rather see the money saved to have it done right, and he did mention that though VRS could do it you don't want to be in a situation where your trying to argue the toss between driving style and component failure.

Better off waiting until sachs make one, I'm gonna send a email and see if sachs have anything in the pipe line ☹️

Hope sachs will have something in the pipeline soon cause my clutch is slipping more often now making the car less fun to drive having to half throttle it everywhere WOT seems to cause a lot of slippage.

I know, better to have it done right and just wait a bit, it's a popular car so I can't not see it being done some time soon.

I'm just gonna get some vinyls or wraps works done with some of the money I put aside keep a tab on this thread and let me know if you come across any news in the mean time

Upgraded clutch

Hi, i have a 280 on Unitronic Stage 2. i took a leap of faith and bought the individual components myself based on the info from Golf forum. i have been running it fro 6 mths. The weakness is our Pressure Plate. In this case, it's an uprated TTRS pressure plate. It solved my clutch prob.

Hope this helps. (add additional "w" to the Link)

I'm glad it working for you and I hope it lasts I really do, I'm just waiting for Sachs to get back to me I want the warranty and the confidence that I'm not gonna end up having a 3 way moan at my mechanic and suppliers.

I'm gonna get an email sent to Sachs for a update they did say one was supposed to be in development but it's just a waiting game for the time being.

That being said I have enjoyed stock mode or as I call it safe mode, don't seem to ever get twitchy bum time around corners any more
