Ok.... Ignore the actual video  but its purpose is to try and identify the noise its making since i've had this car (when the video was taken)....

It doesnt get worse / get louder at any of the rev range so at idle is easiest to hear it, starting to drive me a bit nuts now!

Tried spraying some lube stuff down by the alt belt but no difference.

Thanks :(

the splitter gets caught somewhere everytime I drive it, the moral of the video was because she said she can get it on the kerb without catching it like I always do... so i asked her to prove it, but it caught lol. it's only a plastic splitter anyway!

The cam belt and water pump was changed at 56k but my money was on one of the rollers or something worn again.

Might wait till the cam belt is due another change then :(

Hmm, if spraying with wd40 cured your noise and your sprayed the cam belt then i'd be worried those tensioners might be on their way out bearing wise.

my noise was coming from the alternator so i just wie brushed the belt to clean it and then sprayed it plus dont think my cam belts on its way out as the car has only done 23,000

Poor belt being wire brushed, it's only rubber, Cam belts should be replaced every 4 years no matter what milage has been covered.
