If its got the standard white multispokes (uncurbed), than I think that without much trouble you should see the £2k mark. But that's if it has the FSH, and leather seats without rips to the bolsters.

Yea 2k should be a reasonable price, paid a similar price for mine but the guy was asking 2600 so you should be alright with 2k, if theres no rust and whatnot aswell

Yeah, people usually end up buying the car for about 10-20% less then the original advertised price. For example mine was up for £3000, but I bought the price down to £2450. And as Ibiza_95 just said, he haggled his down by about £500. so when you go to sell the car advertise it for about £2399 and than be ready to bring the price down to £2k when someone comes to look at it.

BTW are you sure you definitely want to sell it in the first place. There are a lot of people on here that have sold their GTIs for newer models or Diesels, and they have been regretting it ever since.

well i had a 1998 s reg in yellow (2.0 8v) i bought that for 1850, but it was up for 2 grand, anyway that got written off by some 17 year old girl in a clio, so with the insurance money i bought a black t reg (2.0 8v) 68,000 miles for 2,150 so bear in mind the milage! you could prob get 1,900 realisticly put it up for 2,000 though. btw as czechboy said, do you really want to sell it!
