Sorry to bug you again, but according to one of the sellers on Ebay the PN is actually 5FJ 919 605 not 606 at the end. I am a bit confused now. Will both work for me on MIB2? Or should i get the 605?

MIB2 high has more reliability issues than MIB2std from my personal experience
The display is just a display, they're reasonably problem free. The actual control module is in the glovebox
There are some lower spec cars that have an all in one unit with no unit in the glovebox
My mib2 high is fine 
. They cost a tidy some. Mib2 standards are cheep and cheerful on navigation.
You can accidentally delete the station logos if you hit delete. It's happened to people before then you have to load them back in. There is a thread on that. The firmware changed from when they were pre populated in the unit to the double click dance to get the over the air one. You side load the outstanding ones that aren't broadcast. That's the thread and work around.
On mib3 you can't do anything about those that aren't broadcast.

Radio Logos (Mib 2 only)
It's that time again for a new radio station and getting the logo to match. Circa 2018 Mib2 units came with the radio logos pre-installed now they are transmitted over the air on some stations others they are not or incorrect ones. The BBC stations have the corrected logos, commercial stations...

On mib3 you can't do anything about those that aren't broadcast.
The mib2 high unit has a built in ssd for music. Stab the media button, juke box will appear. If so it's the high unit. Standard uses a map card. No map card but working maps, its a high. Map card in one of the slots it's a standard. The vast majority of them sold were standard units, there was a premium on the mib2 high.

MIB2high units run even hotter than MIB2std
There's a lot going on in a small, badly ventilated box. They've a habit of killing amplifier chips - this isn't a problem for cars with external amplifiers thankfully
If you're having issues with your MIB2std, replace it with another MIB2std/have it repaired. Don't waste your money on high. We stopped supplying high units over a year ago as they weren't worth the hassle

I know you don't think mib2 highs are reliable
. Mine has a cooling fan that cuts in. Suspect it will be a mib2 standard based on volume of sales. People couldn't see the point in the mib2 high unit, then 2019 ish they became the province of Cupra only as they stopped offering them as an option in how they sold Seats. All European Ateca Cupras before facelift were mib2 highs. They never shipped mib2 high Ateca Cupras outside Europe, they are all standard. I'm probably kind to mine

You haven't tried to have you ?. It shouldn't need to be. You can't jump trains as they call them 2* to 3* etc. If somebody has done that then it's likely to behave strangely or not at all.

You would not attempt to reprogram if if it was a problem.
As far as the maps are concerned the SD cards can go in the end so if it did strange things whilst running the digital map would suggest a new map card. How to replace is on the resource.

You'd pull the map card out and if it behaved then it would be a corrupted map card. A reboot for a corrupted program is achieved by the long 10 second or so long press on the on/off till the logo comes back up. Sometimes, not often these units go out of memory so you do a reboot. On our standard unit I've only seen it once where the image moved an inche or so on the screen. Reboot corrected it.
Logos can be accidentally deleted via the menu, as said and you have to put them back manually. I wouldn't think it is loose sockets behind the unit in the glove box but could be. Retaining clip. You can get the keys. Run it forward and check the clips are locked down.
Failing all that possibly just a fault in the unit.
Ps also stuff can get pushed into the unit via the CD slot so wandering children's hands can push coins in etc. They would hit the circuit board. I took ours apart once after I'd pushed the map card into the CD slot by accident. Tricky in an Arona to see what's happening under there. My excuse. Dealers refuse to touch them apparently when I read up on the subject of foreign items pushed into the CD slot. I got the offending item out. Pull off the power and disassemble with the unit pulled forward.
The head unit has being locking up and then restarting in its own time. It had a software up date. Parked it up for 3 weeks then whilst driving back home it locked up for an age. When it rebooted it had lost the logos. This coincided with the five yr warranty running out. I loaded the logos a while ago following Tell’s guidance so it won’t be an issue putting them back. Probably didn't like the software update. Was that the dealer that did it. Which version is it on. I don't trust the home brew ones that jump trains. That thread will tell you to revert back where people have done it. Where the high unit is more durable to software updates than the standard unit which is picky for it to be done in train due to the memory allocation. You can revert back within train. E.g.. If a 4 series you can go forward or backwards but not out of the 4 series train etc. Yours will probably be a 4 or 5 series one. I'd try to get back on to what you had but ofcourse a risk if it reboots randomly during the update
.The standard toolkits that Mr Fixit has in his videos will hack the software and they only work with specific releases. On the standard mib2 toolkit your on your own here on the Seatcupra site since there isn't a body of knowledge on that here. The mib2 high one, there is. That's on that thread. Introduction of the standard toolkit is also likely to lead to issues if it's the wrong one. The Mr Fixit videos are like honey pots in that respect without solutions if you mess it up.
I only mess with the firmware for a good reason and the guys over on the Leon 3 thread helped me on it. Mib2 high toolkit.
If its firmware and you are out of your depth then one of East Yorkshire Retrofit associates can probably look at it. They have sorted out people on that thread before. That's the short two pins out and reload the firmware if the wrong firmware has been introduced. It's a published fix that needs to be done if a user mangles the firmware.

They all have cooling fans, both MIB2high & MIB2std. They still have thermal issues & suffer because of it. They're just venting behind the dashboard, gradually getting hotter and hotterI know you don't think mib2 highs are reliable
