Cars looking good mate was just looking at your fmic pictures, have you kept the pipework the same? or changed anything since? Have the pipes got a lip on the end of them to stop the hoses popping off?

All changed mate. Soon after the photos I welded them up to form solid pipework, and then a while ago I re-did the whole thing with new angles and silicone, all with beaded ends, using mikalor clamps... I got bored of things popping off!!

Finally got round to uploading the in-car video of my lastest laps. This is only a 8:49 with a long period under yellow flags, fair bit of traffic and a passenger!
My thinking exactly.. naturally lacking insurance makes me a little over cautious, but having the videos is helping me identify where there is time to be made up. Next year's target, sub 8. I think wider tyres would help in some places where the car just wouldn't dig into apexes, that would be the issue with 205's on an LCR
Willie has a point and in my view "Quaife LSD" (Willie probably wont agree ) will makes a huge difference.
I did a track day at silverstone 2 weeks ago and put up a good fight with a new TTRS going into the bends, on the straights I could easily keep up with him.
A 28mm rear Anti Roll bar on the stiffest setting would also allow you get into and out of corners.

I have a 25mm rear on the stiffest setting with an r32 front, weitec coilovers, 15mm spacers all round. IMO a pretty well balanced car, FWD is never going to turn in like a go kart unfortunately!
Also, realistically, I don't think there are many parts of the 'ring that a diff would make a huge difference. There are only a few spots it spins an inside wheel and runs wide on exit, but most of it is high speed corners, so with good tyres and open diff isn't holding me back that much. Better tyres, less passengers, and potentially more risk factor and ~8min is poss. BUT it gets to a point where your increasing the risk of an uninsured crash by 50% for another 10seconds..
I think you underestimate how much a diff makes a difference to all aspects of driving. Not sure how I can explain it to you but it does more than just pull you out of corners for sure.
