got 850 left all stashed away for a holiday from the car sale

my life wouldnt be worth living if i spent that on a lump of metal though (gf would kill me) what clutch are you going for?

The joys of being single plus i dont drink either so got cash to spend on the car just think i might be getting too carried away.

Im looking at the G60 flywheel with VR6 clutch seems to be the best choice for the 1.8T's and im sure it will be able to handle hybrid power

yeh i dont drink too much. If i didnt have such a hefty commute id have an extra 200 a month to play with too

You had a price on the fitting of the clutch flywheel and diff yet?

Not yet mate and im not looking forward to it, gonna get one of the garages near me to do it as my pal knows the guy well! Plus hes had alot of work done on his focus rs with him and hes always done a great job so ill probably pop in and have a chat with him see what he can do.


Yeah petrol is a killer im lucky i dont need to take my car to work as my pal just drives me for £10 a week so really its just a weekend car

Well fitted my new rear arb today not actually had a chance to test it out yet but i will give it a thorough test tomorrow ! Pretty straight forward to fit although the u-bends that go onto the rear axle were a pain

Yeah mate gave it hell for leather going through the hunterston roundabout and it just held so well! Really worth the money and its simple to fit!

Well the diff has arrived i just hope it fits! Phoned Vince today and he seemed to know about the problem and is sure Quaife have sorted it ive to pop a drive shaft out and if it has a 6mm allen bolt then all is good to go, if it doesnt hes going to get in touch with quaife and see what the script is but he said worse case scenario is we swap the diff for another if not unfortunately i will need to go for a different make....

Its so shiny and loverly first I've heard of one fitted to a mk4 too

Rash cupra had a quaife diff fitted to his mk4 and Ric_2001 has a pelequin diff (i think) but he has informed me of a major problem with the crown wheel now being 1mm shorter so hopefully quaife have recognised this and i can get this fitted no bother but only time will tell i suppose

Yeah im just going to leave it cos i dont trust myself to do what you have done!I can pick up a mini filter for like 5bucks on ebay jst need to get the size first cheers!

No mate you should not leave it. It connected to your engine and its goes al the way back to your Catch Can.
