ok i seem to be cursed when it comes to changing my lights. i bought a set of red sidelights off ebay and soon discovered that one was much much brighter then the other. i contacted the seller and after a quick exchange it was all sorted.
but thats not the problem. about 10 days ago i bought a set of white xenon headlights (fake). when i got them i saw that there was no blue on the bulb. after i contacted the seller they said that they accidentally sent me clear, standard headlights. they offered to send me the correct bulbs and let me keep the standard lights as a spare.
my new bulbs arrived today and i fitted them. very difficult to see in the daylight so i looked at them just there and one of them had a very dull yellow glow off it while the other was a powerful white.
i decided to give it a quick look with a torch and when i leaned in i could have sworn i smelled smoke. that was enough to give me a **** attack so i removed the faulty bulb. on inspection it looked perfrectly normal. i decided to plug it in again to clarify that it was the bulb and not the connection.
when i put the bulb halfway in it made a buzz until i quickly removed. what should i do?
all my lights seem to be working correctly so i think my electrics are fine?
can anyone please tell me if i should be alarmed with the smell of sm,oke and if i should contact seller again. i realise you get what you pay for but i dont think paying to get your car damaged is fair.
PLEASE HELP!!
