I had two intake's, a Dbilas and a Forge CAI. The Forge intake was the first intake i bought and i beleive the first Leon in the country to have one. I loved the sound and the top end power when combined with my Revo, but i always felt i lost a slight bit of response and torque below 1800-2000 rpm compared to my stock air box, but i hated the dull sound and flat delivery of the stock airbox at the top end so it was a good trade-off. When Regal
brought out the Dbilas i bought that in search of my lost low-end throttle response and also my ram-air, as it used the same very good path that the stock airbox used but simplified it.

I loved my Dbilas at first, low-end throttle response was back, but i had a big soft spot for my Forge intake as i loved the sound and the more responsive top-end power. Many months of swaping back and forth thinking this one's better, no this one's better gave me an idea, Why not join them together so i can have the best of both worlds, top-end and sound, low-end and throttle response.

A few months later into my thinking i see Forge release a Twintake to good reviews, that makes me think my idea was even more sound. As they say Great minds think (almost) alike. :D

I am very very happy with the way it has turned out and it makes a gorgeous sound along with the Milltek exhaust. Mid-range power seems much stronger, the low end is there and top end is very nice but the star of the show is definetly the mid-range. A complete true cold-air intake. [B)]

Nicely done mate, a case of function over style, just a bit pricey, forge + Dbilas.................... Fair play tho !!!

Most definetly, the price didnt matter too much as i had both intakes already and it only cost me £60 to join them.

So is that the oem maf housing or dbilas? Thinking dbilas. Liking the modified air scoop. Any misfire issues at top end? What cost 60notes to join, a hacksaw? :)

It is the OEM MAF, i hacked it out of the stock airbox. Absolutely no mis-fires or stuttering, just nice strong smooth power. That was one of the reason's why i used the OEM MAF.[B)]

Is the OEM maf pipe housing profile a true circle, or is it an oval shape?

Nice idea, but not a cheap one if you are starting from scratch.

The OEM MAF housing is oval.

No i would'nt recommend someone build this from scratch as it would be expensive, But if money was no object?........
