The weld looks not bad the only thing different from the apr one is it is not polished and the weld are ground back.

I was more concerned about the cat shattering inside when it hits cold water.

As long as the have used a good quality Stainless steel there shouldn't be a problem! System hardly looks top quality though! Looks OK IMHO! :hide:

tbh the pictures dont do it justice! im not just saying that lol, but i took them quickly and and as u can imagin it isnt the ideal place to take a picture... being under a car! (lighting issues etc)

i think the quality of the system is very good, ok its not a mirror pollish, but who cares about that?! (i dont!) it fits very well and gives a good performance increase, and at the end of the day, it has a lifetime warrenty!

so im happy :)

Just had mine fitted!
**** me the oval is big isn’t it! Gona have to get mine up on ramps and re adjust the angle of the pipe though as it comes out straight! Think i got the **** left over!

Did they let you in to see the car whilst they were doing it? They wouldn’t let me in which is worrying

They definitly like their secrets, probably got hundred of little munchkins/oomppa lumpas working on our cars whilst Ian and Nigel sit with a cup of tea and digestive biscuits.

yes the pipe is phat!

mine sits slightly to the left, could do with being moved an inch to the right (as you can see in Empi5's last pic above!), but my standard exhaust sat like that too! they said it was cos of the shape of the back bumper... if u look at the exhaust IT IS ACTUALLY sitting straight... and it is!

and yes, my tail pipe comes up slightly at an angel as it should, to suit the LCR rear bumper/diffuser bit.... clicky

as for seeing the car whilst they are working on it! they were funny with everyone... dont like you walking into the work area whilst they r workin! (i did this a few times... i mean its my car and they took ages about it!)

anyways... i told them i wanted to take pics of it before the car came off the ramps, so say that and hopefully you should get to speak to the person who worked on ur car and then you can say... oh look its not sitting quite right there... can you adjust it!?

james :)

Mine seems to be boosting more now and i have a funny whistle (not turbo as you can here that too) when you cane it only.

Never got a chance to talk to anyone, they took my keys and that was it no "come and look at this" or even a good morning! Mind you there was a fella waiting in the reception (that’s a joke!) who was supposed to be having a meeting with Nigel at 10 and didn’t get to see him till 11, so give them the benefit of the doubt and say there were very busy that day

Sound wise, its nice and quiet, as in no rattle ors groans like the old ZEX one. Liking the burble but did miss the back fire/popping the old one did!

going from a standard zorst to this i would say i am running about 2psi more through the rev range. Its the way it picks up the power at next to no revs that i love :D

Hi Chris!

look here mate... http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2657329 (READ IT ALL!)

post number 18 in that link is the guy who sells a special adaptor which is plug and play, saves doing it the way I did it (read that thread and thats what I did!)

search on here for this vwvotex user called "wayne92slc" (thats his vwvortex username!) as im pretty sure a few scn ppl have got the lambda mod from him, so maybe he is a member on here to, will save you joining vwvortex and then sending him a message or search on there!

hope this helps mate!

also chris, read this thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1246804#post1246804 from post number 23 down!

you know what chris... if you could find a nut with the right thread which the lambda probe can screw into, then you could get say 4 of them and weld them all together very carefully so that the probe can screw into it, and then if it does screw in ok, then weld it onto the flange on the cat!

that would do the job! :)
