I've heard good things on this forum about the Vagbremtechnic J hook discs. Bit pricier than the mtec but the J hook design is the standard disc design for the BTCC so if its good enough for factory race teams its not a bad design. I plan on upgrading to these in the summer once my OEM current pads and discs are done
My client has a Golf R with an APR Stage 2 and full suspension upgrade which he tracks regularly - he uses the VAG J Hooks with Pagid RS29 pads on the front and DS2500 on the rears.
I had Mtec discs and pads on my Impreza WRXS for a short while but they were so noisy I couldn’t wait to take them off! Abused them for a few months to feel I’d got some value and then went to EBC which were great.
