MOT coming up, need some help please

right my MOT is up in august, wanna do it before it runs out so that if it does fail i can fix it and drive it legally.

one thing that might fail it is the exhaust. i have a slight blow coming from the welds jut behind the backbox. Not the backbox itself, but the exhaust tubing running up to it, where it joins the original pipework by the looks of things.

what i'd like to know is will this fail, i thought if it's blowing near the backbox it's not going to affect emissions because it's basically at the end of the exhaust system anyway. Am i wrong

and what can i do to fix this, is it worth replacing it incase i do fail and then have to buy a new exhaust?

theres loads of little bits you can buy from halfords if its just a little hole.
exhaust putty
exhaust bandage
all that kind of stuff will sort you for the MOT if its just a small hole
