Morrisons SEAT Stirling: Very happy

In the spirit of giving positive feedback about SEAT dealers when it's deserved, I thought I'd make a quick post.

Had to put the Cupra R into my local dealer for some warranty work when the power steering pump went on the fritz recently. This is my first experience of the SEAT dealer network since buying the car. And it was all very positive. Dropped the car off, given a courtesy car, the dealer phoned a short while later to say they'd checked the car, had ordered the parts and it would be ready the next day. And lo and behold, the very next day I got a phone call at lunchtime to say my car was ready to pick up.

All very pleasant.

Now, there is a further part to this story. Yesterday I got a phonecall from the dealer saying that whilst processing the warranty claim, it seemed there was a problem with the chassis number. At this pointed i started to groan. Luckily, Jonathan at Morrisons was very help and did all the relevant checks, including phoning the DVLA, to make sure the reg plates had not be mis-assigned or anything. Turns out that the wrong log book was included with the car when it was first delivered. Phone the original dealer I got the car from and they said they would get it all sorted out if I sent them back the log book.

All in all, I found the two dealers I've dealt with (Morrisons SEAT in Stirling and David Penman Cars in Darlington) to be very helpful at all times.

So there you go, a bit of well deserved praise for a couple of dealers.

Cheers
Malcolm

Some negative points.
1).Very difficult to get a courtesy car, without booking weeks in advance. Then you have to insure it yourself. At W.Livingstones the car is is covered by the dealers insurance.

2)Put my car i for a service.Topped up the w/screen wash myself so they wouldn't charge me for it.Still charged me(left the virtually full bottle in the boot). When i queried why they'd charged me,they said'oh,we had to top up your level,as some was used when we checked your wipers'.Nothing short of a total con.

3)Guys in Fiat overalls,servicing Seats.Hardly confidence inspiring.
