Mine did this last night for the first time. I've not driven since last sunday so I guess it just froze the sensor up.

It wouldn't make a difference!

I have been out of the country the last 3 weeks and mine started without a bleep :)

If it happens again tomorrow morning then you'll need the Expansion tank replacing :(

i went into my seat dealer today - and told them i was worried that they wouldnt find the fault (i have vag-com and checked)
I said the best thing to do was for me to drive to them in the morning for my appointment, leave the engine running and nip in and get the mechanic out to see the red flashing light on my dashboard.
If i park up and turn off, as soon as they take it in to look at it they will see nothing and fob me off. All i got was - "we will see if we have time to do that"..... i would have thought it would be QUICKER than me coming back in again and again....

We shall see though. I have so far had good service from them, so hopefully they will either see the fault or believe me and do it anyway. Hopefully they will change the whole tank and not just the sensor... Trouble is its been changed once already..

Hmmm mine did it again this morning. Turned off engine, restarted, no beep. Might replace the exapansion tank i guess but it's no affecting the car so i'm not too worried for the time being. I'll top up my coolant to make sure it's not just a lowish coolant level dropping in the cold weather.
