Money to spend....now what!

Hey all,

For a :censored: reason, I've just come into some money (no dirty comments please!).

Anyway, I would like to do a few things to my Leon, and now that I've got the money for it, I'd like some advice from people on here.

Before I say what I'd like advice on though, please note that because I dont want this thread to be removed, please send me a PM if you can offer me the name of a company who can assist me with anything...I dont want the Mods on here to think that this is a post for mass advertising etc.

1. I would like to tint the back windows and hatch. There is already the standard tint on them, but can someone recommend where to go for this to be done? I am based in Central London. Plus, what shade am I best going for?

2. I would like to improve the ride and have been told that Eibach springs are the best thing for my FR DSG. However, is there a company, or a place I can take the car, where they can do it all for me - I am useless with mechanics and a few members on this site will agree with this im sure! Furthermore, are Eibach springs the best way for me to spend my money to improve the crashy ride?

3. I've got red paint for my brake callipers but, as I've said above, im a danger to anything mechanical. So, does anyone fancy making some relatively easy money on a Sunday afternoon by painting them one weekend?

Many thanks in advance to everyone!

Dampers are essential also...

The best advice I have picked up regarding suspension is that Koni FSD dampers are well worth the money...have a root around on the web, they seem to be superb. My next addition will be these and Eibach springs...can't wait! I'd be interested to hear how you get on.

r-tec St Albans are able to do the eibachs and the caliper painting- drop it off and return next day when the paint has hardened. Fast train 22 mins to St Pancras- Gary is your man.

r-tec!... where abouts in herts are you mate? i live in welwyn garden city.... i called up rtec to fit my eibach sportlines...but they were slightly more expensive than another place that was fitting my skirts and spoiler at the same time...

ive found the springs to still be firm BUT have improved the ride and made it quite a bit smoother...

I am in St Albans - They (r-tec) did my 306 cabriolet with pro kit and torsion bar adjustment. I had my Pro kit fitted to the Leon by a local garage for very little cash. They are better than standard and I am tempted by new dampers too. Which will give an improvement to ride?

So do you think that im better off with a Koni Pro Kit, or dampers...or are they actually the same thing?

Eibach pro kit is a set of 4 coil springs dampers are the shock absorbers which prevent the springs making the car bounce like a pogo stick. Eibach springs give a lower look and are less harsh feeling than standard.

Coolio. I'll call R-tec and see what they say!

Anyone with any help for the window tinting?

Spoke to R-tec and they do Window Tinting too!

The springs etc came in at much less than the other quotation I had, although the window tinting was more than expected.
