I hear what your saying Mitch and believe you but two questions?!

what size cold air feed did you use? the normal 80mm size or the fat 104mm size that i use?! ;)

plus did you use Feel's battery relocation brackets like me too?!

I did before and after logs of my modded air box to the OEM set up and got a good increase in flow (4% from memory!) so for £80 all in that wasn't bad at all (filter, feed and battery relocation brackets)

I see 210g/s at most but normally low 200s i think when the weather is HOT!

as we both know ko4 cant flow more than 210 g/s (realistically!) so for the money modded air box is the way to go for me! if money is no limit you may aswell get the £200 (or watever it is) BCM CDA (originally that was my first choice!) as it looks cool and sounds slightly better/throatier than a modded airbox.

thats my 2p worth!

No i only used the 3'' ducting straight from my BMC mate. No doubt if i had opened it up to 4'' then results of the airbox would have been better:)

5-6g/s additional airflow isn't a lot more tbh and like James has said, the modded airbox route shows 4% better than just leaving it standard so its definitely worth doing if you dont want the expense of £175-200 for a CAI kit.

woo hoo!! stage one of modifying the airbox completed this morning!

fully smoothed top half....removed the mesh restricting air flow to the air sensor!

Loving the results so far....or may be my imagination but mid range and top end feels bit more fruity!

just wondering as I cant remember, but anyone with standard DV, can you hear it inside the car with windows shut? I know i def cud hear it with windows open, but hardly ever drive without stereo on, so cant remember if it was audible from inside the car. It is now, just wondering if its got louder since the airbox mods!

Next step to go and buy some bits to make a big juicy air intake!!

You can hear the Std. DV with the windows up, but not ALL the time...I notice it sometimes, but like I said not all the time...

I'm waiting for Mr Courier driver to deliver my Forge 007P...Raid HP have dispatched my Raid MaxFlow, and it's only a week for the GroupBuy on the Blue Flame zorsts...

Goodies Goodies Goodies...
