Right im getting annoyed now so thought i would post this...

Basically approx 4 months ago the handle to fold the rear seats down in my car jammed and stopped the seats folding down.

With the car covered under warranty i took it down wanting it fixed.

The 1st time i took it i had no way of getting back home as no courtesy cars were available so i sat and waitied.
Then the very nice looking girl on reception came over and informed me my car was ready but not fixed,as the part they sent was wrong.
She said they will order the correct part and let me no when it came in promising it wouldnt take 3 weeks this time!

4 weeks later...i get the phone call telling me the part is here and if i want a courtesy car it will be a four week wait,as it happens i was working away for 4 weeks anyway and booked the car in to get fixed..AGAIN!

So...Monday this week comes,my driving licencse is away on holiday in swansea getting some points awarded for my driving,so i cant have my promised courtesy car,so late monday afternoon i get a phone call saying they need the car another day as the part that came was broken when it got here!! Bolloks!!

So i leave the car with them and i get the phone call on the afternoon saying the part that normally takes 3 weeks to arrive came the next day!!

So i get the car back on tuesday evening all "nicely valeted for you".

Drive her home thinking "glad thats eventually sorted" pull outside my house check the catch is wiorking and it snaps straight offin my hand!!!

So i raged and rang the straight back.

I took it in today and ive just rang them to see how they were getting on and he told me it was fixed, and went outside with me still on thephone to check it was working correctly as he is saying it is.

Then he said "oh they havent put the headrest back on ill just do that now"....

Why the Fuk would you not put it back on!!!???

So i am not happy at the min although the car is now fixed!

I just think its pathetic!!!!

It,s beyond a joke when you order parts and have to wait 3-4 weeks average for them. I have ordered various parts in the past and ended up going to a scrappy as the wait is a joke and you never get called to say its arrived its always the customer chasing the dealer... Never had this when I had my Golf's parts always available from dealer or GSF.

My two penith..

On another note the wife and I decided yesterday we would go and see if we can sort a deal on the new FR Leon.. Get to the dealer have a look round bit warm in the showroom so wait by the door to cool down still no-one around. One guy walks past me through the door totally ignores us, walk past the business guys office and hang around as he is on phone, give him eye contact so ignores us aswell.. WTF does no-one want our money so I say to the wife lets go.. shes but wait lets ask NO lets go now.

Parts will be manufactured in batches by suppliers. If the part runs out of stock with SEAT and they order from their suppliers, a 3 week lead time isn't unheard of. Once the part is in stock with SEAT, dealers can get it in next day.

Sounds like you had a run of bad luck there, particularly getting points on your license, but none of that sounds worse than any other car dealer. They did everything you asked and were as much victim of the delay in parts supply as you.
