It's been a wait but collected my FR Sport 1.5 150 today!

Couple of things I've noticed on my drive back to Edinburgh from Kirkcaldy...

Android Wireless - Is there and does work! Although I've set up the WiFi in the car, I just can't seem to get data through to my phone, even after registering. As it connects fine to the Hotspot, my phone asks me to log in to the network which just keeps taking me to the Cubic Telecom site. Registering and logging on to this makes no difference as none of the apps on my phone gets internet access. I still seem to get Google Maps and Spotify but not sure if this is just potentially a cache on my phone.

Lane Assist - Been reading nightmare stories with this as being too intrusive but even trying to get it to react on the way home today I didn't find any issues with it. Maybe they've adjusted it from previous models.

I need to revisit the dealer tomorrow, as I stupidly left my house keys in my old Leon, so will see if anything else crops up.

So far enjoying the smooth ride. Bought as Demonstrator from SEAT dealership with 4000miles on the clock

The annoying part for me it has plenty of issues to be sorted out (from the list send out to dealership)
- Scuffed wheels
- Bump on roof
- Door rubber not aligned correctly (picture)
- Back bumper missing cover (picture)
- Navigation isn't available message (picture)
- Two loud bang click through audio and notice the connection service is gone (picture)
- Software update confirmed but hasn't finished still showed version 1664
- Kessy entry doesn't work - unlocking (inside the door handle)
- Backlight with brake light has discolouration (picture)
- Service campaign 90Q8 has not been completed before handover
- ACC randomly braking for car in other lane
- SOS system unavailable - visit workshop
- Brake system is very temperamental - it feels like there is huge braking and all the sudden the brake weaken (all disc scored)

Hopefully, all get solved in next visit

Picked up my Leon First Edition on Friday after having a MK3 1.2 TSI SE tech for 7 years. Much more tech and lots of options but slightly disappointed in the digital dash not having the same screens as the Tarroco. It was the dealer demonstrator car September reg so has not done may miles.

Few quick questions:-
- How do you know if the service campaign 90Q8 has been carried out
- How do you get the pACC working not had time to read instruction book yet.
- Any one wired in a dash cam yet.
- Why did SEAT not put heated seats in it. Can they be retrofitted?
- Any one else having trouble with seat connect and remote lock / unlock not working from the app.
- Any one know how to decode the VIN as mine has a really low number at the end 15XX and was wondering if this is the number that had been built.

I do find the brakes a bit over keen on initial application at slow speeds, it is as if you have engine breaking as well as regen for the battery plus your pedal breaking.

- How do you know if the service campaign 90Q8 has been carried out - contact your service they should now that affected are only some of the First edition
- Any one wired in a dash cam yet - YES and it thread on this forum how to do so just be careful when choosing the right fuse
- Any one else having trouble with seat connect and remote lock / unlock not working from the app - doesn't work on my one apparently you have to contact service and they can enable this

I do find the brake a bit sluggish too on my eTsi engine I supposed when the engine brakes and all the sudden get shut down that is why I have to push the brake pedal further down to increase breaking

Thanks

I am fairly sure 90Q8 has been done as my Kessy works and so does the rear camera.
I found the dash cam thread after I posted looks easy enough to do,
I will contact seat service and see if they can enable the feature.

First thoughts :

Why are there crumbs and smudges in my new car  driver had breakfast on his way lol

Really impressed with interior - hadn't seen any of this trim inside - the black micro suede looks and feels like alcantara. The colour of the dashboard was a nice surprise too. Coming from a 140 bhp car this thing feels quick!

Rims are better in person ..now to buy a EV charging cable! The SEAT app works well except it needs me to visit a local dealer (eg stockport) for identification to be able to access the remote locking etc.

Ordered a Leon ST Excellence-lux hybrid in Magnetic Grey on 29/08/21. No extras as it is pretty loaded already.
Coming from a 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG, so looking forward to a broadly similar if slightly less fraught drive.
My GTD has Dynamic Chassis Control (the last year it was standard kit!) but tbh I won't miss. Looking forward to bigger boot for Wheelchair and leather comfort amongst other things (automatic tailgate!)

It is a motability lease and given the (low) mileage I do, the plan is to keep it for 5 years instead of the normal 3.

In case you've missed the announcement, time is running out to book for our annual meet on Sunday 3rd October @ TRAX Silverstone. All SEAT and CUPRA models welcomed, this is a static friendly social meet with goodies for attendees. [Find out more and how to book]

Cheers

Cancelled my order and taking an EV first week March. Waiting time proved to be unacceptable all round. Shame, was really looking forward to the Leon ehybrid

1.5TSI 130. Really wanted the estate coming from a mk3 Leon FR estate but no one had any new ones and couldn't wait.

The electric handbrake is fine once used to it but the infotainment system is stupid. Rebooting, crashing. Multiple presses for the simplest things. The heating widget says "Air conditioning" with a on/off toggle when in reality it just controls if the fans are running or not the actual A/C on/off is a separate button which to access you have to double press the heating widget. Ridiculous. Bearing in mind the steering wheel has a volume control it would be SO much better if the volume control bar on the infotainment system controlled the fan speed. Also, hanging up calls etc, tiny little hard to press (when driving) buttons, the whole thing is ill thought out and buggy. It takes a lot of getting used to. Other than that it's a good car. Enjoy!
