With that said You could always paint the steels satin black and drop it like its hot... That'd look lush.

Cupra's dont come with spacers

i am selling some wheels that were on a mk4 golf and i have an interested bidder who has a mk4 ibiza.
could someone please confirm if these would fit a mk4 ibiza, thanks

they are 17x7.5 et35 5 studs.
the tyres are as follows:-
2 used bf goodridge g force profiler 225/45/17 91 y
2 brand new 0 miles michelin pilot premacy 225/45/17 91y

Best Alloys ever its 16 , as on mk4 u cant go bigger than 40m for tires on 17s wich make the car horrible , noise is disgusting , evry hole and little humps , its all taken inside car ,wich ruins the music unless is very loud ,
i went down from Preface lift 17 alloys to an 16 seat sport alloys wich still crap but its less than half of the noise , iam thinking in going lower to 15 , just wonder if it will skid a lot .

need some help
i have recently bought a 56 plate ibiza 1.2 12v i would of loved to of put some mk3 cupra alloys on it but as they are only a 4 stud they won't fit on.... so i'm looking at buying some 17" team dynamics ProRace 3 alloys in white was just wondering if any of these fitments would fit my car?

5x112 et38
5x114 et45
i'm only 17 and only been passed a couple of months and this is my 2nd car so this is just the start for me. obviously on a tight budget at 17 are there any other alloy wheels people would reccommend??? cheers

17 its nice for the look, but not nice for the car , i recomend 16 they are the best 215-45 16 if u want wide look ,look for 7j wide it will be nice and not so noise

Now I know vRS 17s will fit (yeah I can use the search box, first page post, and I'm presuming that ET38 is ajusted to)

Question is I'm looking at a second hand set set wrapped in 205/50/17 rubber. Is that profile just too high? I know that the overal wheel diameter will change, so I presume my speedo would also need recalibrating.
Would it just be more sensible to buy myself a brand new set of 4 205/40/17s?
Bearing in mind that I'm dropped about 35/40mm all-round.

Better off with 40's to be fair. They'll give a more stretched look to be honest and that will always gain you scene points.

Hi hubby has bought me a 52 plate ibiza tdi 130 sport for my birthday sunday. Dont get car till then either. Cars 180 miles away so we r traveling up 3am sunday morning.
So im looking at doing things already. I want to know what wheel sizes are straight fit.
Dont want to go stretched and dont want to go low low on profile. The car need to take the kids around, so dont want to feel every bump. Will be lowered one day, so need a size that will clear inside arch aswell as miss inner archs.
been reading Altech threadas his car is same car and colour as mine.
Think ide just lower it enough to get rid of that big gap from wheel to arch.

Hubby does have some Old slot mags deep dish. There blanks, so stud pattern is what ever they i get them drilled for.

So what i want to know is
1 what ET will give me no issues either all same or different et for front and back.
2 width
3 What tyres

Remember dont want to go stretched dont want to go silly profile and dont want to put spacers on.

Any reason for non spacers?

Fitment is 5x100 and the ET, I'm not sure Most wheels fit the FR/Sports
I think its ET 32 standard but I'm not sure
I think cupra wheels are 42

I think to be honest as far as lowering goes you might be onto a winner as Gwent VW in Newport are doing a line of FK street coilovers which will give you a nice drop however wont cause rubbage and they will make the car more comfortable.

So 16 poss 17 ET 32 to 38 as most wheels ive seen, seem to be in that bracket.How wide is normal or easy fit??? Again dont want to go silly.
Hubby isnt keen on spacers. (He had bad crash due to spacers.)

Ile look how the stock wheels look when i see it. see if they sit in arch nice, If they dont that means i nead lower ET yer?? to make them come out more???

Hubby said he knows that shop in Newport.

Sorry to hear about the husband.
I'd let others come along and offer their opinions on the wheels, I've never changed the wheels on a car in my life but all I know is the fitment and that 90% of the wheels don't fit my car.

I don't trust non hub centric spacers I think their dangerous as it transfers all weight through the bolts as opposed to the spigot to guide and balance the alloy.

Also I prefer using the 20mm+ Hub centric B spacers, they bolt into your hub and then you use a separate set of mounting holes for your wheels. Also the ones I have are Steel so they do weigh quite a bit but their alot lot safer...

Also I prefer to keep them on the rear of the car, Safer that way especially with the weight of the engine over the front!
