I don’t have maintenance on mine through leasing options but I’m pretty sure tyres are covered within the maintenance if I remember correctly.
They tried to sell it me and I’m pretty sure they mentioned tyres are covered.
Also do you have CCTV at your works car park?
I’d be pissed if someone did that at work especially without leaving a note.
Thanks for the reply, i have sorted it today and it is covered. My lease is provided by ALD (like most) and i spoke to them and they just said go to your local kwik fit and they will do it. So i went today and my car is obviously on file or something on a national database as they just had the reg and said, yeah no
problem we can sort that, so they inspected the tyre, said it needed replacing and ordered a new tyre and will fit it tomorrow.
In terms of damage done at work, yeah i was pissed!! - even more so because it was caught on CCTV but they were not allowed to show me the footage or tell me any details about the vehicle that hit me due to Data Protection / GDPR. They would only release it to police or insurance company. Luckily the security staff said they will leave a note on the persons car stating they have CCTV and i would prefer to settle the mattter privately without involving police or insurance. The day after i got an email from a staff member and she apologised for damaging my car and driving off and would like to do whatever she can to resolve the issue. So i just replied saying i would get a quote and email it to her and i want her to pay it. I have the quote now so will email her tomorrow.
It took alot of will power not to give her a piece of my mind about driving off without leaving a note. So hopefully next few weeks it will get sorted without me paying, but it is still inconvieniant having time of work, and losing the car for a day or two.
