Yes this is right.
It needs the spare tire where the subwoofer sits mounted in the insdide of the rim so it needs the spare tire or when you want te spare tire you need to order the seat sound system.
But...., maybe your dealer could help you out with ordering a spare tire seperately from the order to buy the car.

I think doodledids is asking if it is possible to spec the spare wheel without the sound system. I thought it was back when I placed my order, but maybe that has changed? Anyway, spec the seat sound as it is worth the 250 quid. As snah says you can't have the seat sound without the spare wheel.

Why would you want to do that? ordering the spare tyre on its own is usually more expensive.

And yes if you have the sound system you need the spare tyre, why you would spec a new car without a spare tyre I don't know. Much rather have a physical spare then be messing around with that shitty gel stuff and potentially ruining a tyre that could be repaired.

The spare wheel alone, as I have with my 280 is a £100, but I remember that the config would not allow me to take it without the sound system. This was a fault on the config thing, and was sorted a few days later after I complained. Looks like since the prices went up the faults back, you can't order the uprated sound system without the spare, but can order the spare without the sound system, go to dealer and you can order it.

My car also has just the spare wheel and not the sound system. The car is on a personal lease and I didn't originally spec the spare however I was offered and took another car with the spare already fitted - I just paid the supplying dealer £95.
If I had been buying the car I would have been very tempted by the Seat Sound system at £250 but I'd suggest trying to listen to the standard one before you decide - personally I'm very happy with the sound quality, pretty much on a par with the Bose system in my previous car (Mazda 6).

I will get my Cupra 280 tomorrow. Quite exited.

FIrst i ordered a Golf 7 GTI perf pack and also testdrove Golf R. (Un)fortunately Golf was delayed and i chose a Nevada White showroom car instead(0kms though). It feels much quicker than the GTI and more like the R! And it was cheaper. In Estonia Cupra isnt very expensive. The same price as Golf GTI but better equipment.
Cheapest Cupra is atm 265(manual) 23 990 euros with official discount. So good value! Manual Golf R starts at 38!!

Contacted my dealer yesterday and he confirmed my cars build date is week 38 and they would normally expect to take delivery 4 weeks after that. Time is dragging which at my age is unusual!!

I ordered mine on 14/7 however until I emailed and asked this Tuesday for them to confirm the build date all I had was a verbal Oct/Nov delivery date.

I see! That's all I have just now, verbally it's early Dec.

So very keen! [B)]

There is hope:)

I have just had an email from my dealer to say my car is built (a week + early) and has gone to shipping which means it will arrive in the UK next week. He reckons I could possibly have the car before the end of the month:clap:

Just received my 280 today, it appears to have ACC fitted but I didn't spec it. Did they start adding this as standard at some point. I may be wrong but it has the options in the menus and the distance set on the cruise control. Does anyone know?

Definitely a Brucie. I just looked at the brochure, which is new, as the Cupra is now integrated into the main Leon one and it says ACC is an option on all models.

Just tried it, turns out it does have ACC. Brucey bonus, 100% didn't order it with this option! Awesome car btw......

You thoroughly deserve a bonus as I think you ordered yours on the same day as me and I have had mine for nearly 2 months!

Will keep a look out for you and yes I agree its an awesome car!
