But I just called SEAT IMG and asked about the 290's.

The salesman said that it definitely sounded different to the 300.

I pushed him on this and he actually said he thought it sounded throatier

Caveat: it was still in transport mode. For that reason he wasn't able to confirm if the exhaust still pops.

I dont think you should have to pay anything as the spec isnt as you ordered on your contract

Especially as Lookers Stockport have just dropped their deal undercutting IMG Warrington.

we are neither getting a MY18 or a MY19 by all accounts. I'm annoyed that I was told about the spec changes and it was SEAT CS who told me the winter pack will be standard on my car (I didn't spec it btw). There is definitely grounds to make a complaint

There definitely is, especially if you got a good deal.
I rejected my order for more obvious reasons.
I had to fight, but now I've got a copper Cupra on the way for the price of the IMG deal (for the manuals) last year based on £249 for 24months 8k.

It's just the waiting...


However Scrogg has posted some pretty positive lead times recently for the CUPRA.

For me , 10bhp is here nor there, but if the BW42+ get a 7 speed, which helps with economy (i know we dont buy these cars for economy) that'd be the annoying thing for me, as it'll likely help the MPG's on the motorway cruses wont it?

Wk 40.. I asked this question over and over. I pointed out the bw 42 changes but she kept telling me it will be on my car. (trust me though I don't hold out much hope based on what we've seen today)
