Assuming the bolt pattern (PCD) is 5x112 on your Leon wheels, and the centre bore is 57.1 for both your current wheels and the VW Madrid wheels, then they should fit. Your existing tyres should be OK too; according to the VW brochure at the link below (page 16), tyres used for the Madrid wheels are 225/45 R17; i.e. same as your existing tyres. You just need to check that your existing wheel bolts are suitable for use with the Madrid wheels, as wheel bolts come in three different types - tapered, rounded or flat - and it's really important that the mating surface of the bolt head is the correct profile to fit the profile of the bolt hole in the wheel.

With the Madrid wheels being 7" wide and an offset of ET49 compared to your current wheels (7.5" wide and an offset of ET51), this will give you 8mm more inner clearance, and the face of the wheel will be tucked under the wheel arch 4mm more than with your current wheels. You can check this by using the wheel offset calculator at the 2nd link below;

How did you establish centre bore size of 57.1?

What's best way of checking the correct type of wheel bolt style for Madrid?

Cheers mate.

I was aware that 57.1 is the centre bore measurement for current model VW's as I've bought replacement wheels for my current and previous VW cars.

I've just found this (really useful) website - provides wheel fitment information for the majority of vehicle makes/models;

http://www.wheelfitment.eu/index.html

Confirms that the centre bore for the current model Leon wheels is also 57.1.

Probably the best way to check on the wheel bolts is to contact your nearest VW dealer.

That's a good idea on the wheel bolts....Thanks. Might just be easier to buy the correct bolts from them.

I found the online parts catalogue for the VAG group : oemepcDOTcom

And this clearly shows the bolts required for the VW Madrid alloys (and in fact all the Golf 17 in alloys) as being spec M14x1.5x27
I tried doing same for Seat alloys but it comes up with "see illustration 601-85" which I was unable to fathom.

Does anyone know if the bolt size on the Leon MY17 mk3 17" Dynamic alloys is also M14x1.5x27?

Thanks all.

Hi mate.... Think your PM inbox is full..
Can I ask a few questions pls:
Did you go from 17s to 18s?
Did you use the existing bolts from your original Seat alloys or did you buy new bolts?
Cheers mate.

Mate, were your centre caps aftermarket or just stickers over the original VW ones?
I worked out that Seat caps are 56mm (5F0601171)
VW are 65mm (5G0601171)

So just wondering if you were able to buy the FR ones as caps at 65mm size.
Cheers.
