Mk2 Seat Leon Horn Fuse

Hi Guys,

Have a 2006 Leon and the horn has stopped working.

As far as I know they are dual tone horns so seems strange/unlucky both would stop working at the same time, when I press the horn all I get is a clicking sound from behind the steering wheel.

Does anyone know what fuse number the horn is? have tried everywhere to find out including a mechanic this morning who couldn't find it! Just want to rule that out and then probably looks like replacement horns after that as I've read that if the relay is clicking it is more than likely working.

Thanks in advance

Before May 06, it is shown a fuse 35 (5A) in the fuse box at the end of the dashboard. After that date, it's shown as fuse 17 (5A). If you have a MFSW, check that everything else works, if not, it might be the Steering Column Control Unit.

Thanks. Everything else works fine on the steering wheel, no airbag lights or anything and radio controls all working. Will give the fuses a check and see if that uncovers anything.

Just checked the fuses - don't have either of those quoted above in my fuse box at drivers side - any ideas??

Good point, fuse 17 was there, but all seems fine. Last I heard of the horn was a slow fading away to nothing which leads me to believe the horn units have packed in. I'll look to get some replacements and fit them. Anyone know what the relay clicking means when I press on the horn? Is that a sign the relay might be gone?
