Mk2 Headlights

Guys,

Does anyone do clear lenses or projector headlights for the Mk2?

I've decided I will be keeping my humble 1.0mpi, and over the coming months (more than likely it'll be years) i want to do a brake conversion, engine, interior etc.....not the best platform, but nothings impossible when you have a vast vocabulary of sweary words It'll be 1.8t, VR.......etc...

but the bodywork needs sorted first......

when i come back my holiday i have nowt to spend my money on apart from the car....So it'll be taking a trip to Glenfarg in glasgow for a new coat.

GTi 16v Sideskirts and rear spoiler are going on and new bonnet and front wings are going on (Bloody dings).....to keep it factory looking, some bits will be removed....and the small mk3 mirrors sound good.

I was thinking about the front end last night and realised the 1.4 and under front lights look a bit crap with the 'frosted' lenses and was wondering who does clear or projector lights?

I know the morette twins have projectors IIRC? Is there any other options?

My wish list grows

Jenk.....thought about the GTi ones, but are they not kinda the same? Plus what kind of wiring issues would i have?

Thought of putting in some HID's........this bloody list is stupidly long

Your headlamps use 1 h4 bulb, i think. And the gti's use two h1,s and the lamps look split into two. will take a pic for ya if i can

Yeah, 1 H4 on mine.....and i was sure it was 2 H1's on the GTi's.....

wouldn't expect it to be plug n play.....

Gti ones with Twin H1's will fit straight onto a lower spec Ibiza. Just make sure you get ones from the same year Gti as yours. Because there's a difference in the pre/post facelift versions

So Gti 97 ones are plug n play?

What i was wondering is if my lower spec lights have only the 2 plugs, one for H4 and one for the sidelight, would the 2 H1's and side light not need 3 plugs?

Also, the wiring for the headlamps is just 1 connector wire about 6-wires going to it. Just unplugs from yours and plugs into the Gti ones. Did this on the '99 1.4 about 4years ago !!!

If you go with the gti lamps, get yourself some uprated bulbs. i mite aswell be driving with a candle how poor mine are. Must get new bulbs
