2-door Mk3 Cordoba's were only ever sold in Ireland/NI, and those plates look like NI reg to me, 3 letters followed by 4 numbers........
I think MK2 Coupe cordy´s were sold everywhere :p At england they might be rare.
Here at finland they are rare too, but it´s nice that my girlfriends older sister has one of those Cupra´s :D Reminding me how good coupe cordy would look compared to my four door.

This mk2 mk3 stuff is a bit confusing, my cordy's the same shape front as the mk3 ibiza but a vario and I've read it's a mk2 with a facelift and it's a mk3, wtf is it?:D

vario was used to note as an estate

same thing as BMW with tourer / Audi with Avant etc

andyj

There's no F in Quality..
2004 just means that was the date of first registration, it was probably sat in a compound for a couple of years before it was registered!

The Mk3 is basically a face-lifted Mk2 to be honest, same chasssis etc, and the majority of the panels and running-gear are all interchangeable ;)

It is very confusing, and opinion does appear to be divided. I just refer to my cordoba as a 6L. It's technically only the second (or third if you count the facelift mk1 as mk2) version of the cordoba, although it is based on a mk4 ibiza, it is not the 4th version of the cordoba.

technically speaking the 6L Ibiza should be the mk3 as the 3 previous models all shared the same 6k chassis and were technically facelifts

as for Cordoba Coupe/Vario/Saloon

6K = mk1
6L = mk2

:)

don't forget to throw in the VW Polo Saloon and Variant and of course the Mexican Derby it's a bit of a mixy-up :p

Different chassis between pre 99 and 99-2002 apparently, the suspension kits are different as well as other bits and the 2002 on was a different car again, that's the way I've read it so far but need to find a really good source of info to be sure.:)
