Hi all got a new to me Leon MK1 cupra with the AUQ

More of a running driving project car than perfect condition however need some advice, bought the car 1st of August with a few issues one of them being that the radio stopped working on the previous owner shortly before I bought it, thought no Biggie now I'm trying to track down some electrical gremlins, radio doesn't want to turn on, previous owner tried to rewire thinking it was that, had the radio out and found that one of the connectors was not plugged in to the iso adapter, plugged it in thinking it was that and it was not, checked wiring for voltages, found 12v permanent live on the red/white wire going to the iso adapter and a 6v ignition live on a blue/white wire also however no voltage to the brown wire I thought would have voltage going to it so thought it then must be an early as the black wire coming out the radio goes to that brown wire so checked continuity all ok from the brown wire back to a known good earth, am I looking at just putting a new radio in or any eiring I need to do? TIA

Not sure if the leon was the same as the mk4 golf wiring wise but on the golf if you plugged in harness to fit an aftermarket stereo the red and yellow were ignition and permanent live. Ignition was 12v with ignition on.
Could put both lives to permanent but need to remember to shut the stereo off so you don't come back to a flat battery.

Ps I hate car electrics lol
