Had my LCR for just over 3 years now, love it to bits..! (Purchased it from a guy called Welchy on here)

I recently built & fitted a 2L 20vt Stroker motor & GTX2867r setup, bit of an animal now...!

Rough spec as follows:

03 Mk1 SEAT LEON CUPRA R

19" BBS CH014
Weitec Hicon GT Coilovers with powerflex top mounts

AMK bored out bottom end (CP 83mm Forged 2L Stroker pistons 9.5:1)
Brute H-Beam Forged Conrods
TFSI Crank
AGU large port JNL Racing P&P Head with Ferrea Valves
550CC Genesis Injetors
GARRETT GTX2867R
INA/AKS Tuning top mount T25 manifold
3” AKS Tuning Downpipe
N249 Bypass

600 x 300 x 76mm Welly Cooler & associated pipework
Miltek Cat-Back exhaust

Currently running lowish boost REVO stage 3 software @ approx 330bhp (custom map to follow to make most of the current setup, hoping for 400hp)

Engine build pics to follow soon....

Yeah really happy with the work JP @ JNL Racing did for me, head is a work of art and he also bored/honed out my block so I could drop the pistons in.

Need to sort the spacing out on the rear as the 15mm spacers have a bit too much poke with the CHs, so probably look at swapping them out for 10mm or maybe even 5mm.

The Weitec coilovers are also leaking.... which I'm a tad more annoyed about as there appears to be no service support for these anymore as they arent made. so looking to upgrade to KW V1 inoxline in the next few weeks.

Managed to sneak in a few hours on the Leon on Saturday.

Been having some random miss firing issues so spliced in a new coilpack loom, tfsi coilpacks & tfsi loom shroud. Really smooth now.

Very nice bud, bet it's nice to have a freshly built engine but with bigger power. Do you have a diff to complement the power?

Unfortunately not at the moment, its not too bad without one actually & I have every intention of rebuilding a gearbox & slotting in a LSD next year if I get the time.

It's going in for a custom map @ Badger 5 Friday 31st July, hoping to release some extra power and rid of the REVO Stage 3 software which although has been ok it really isn't suited to current engine spec.

Big old thread bump there :p

Car looks/sounds awesome though, nice work! Are you able to run a standard head gasket on 83mm pistons?

Haha cheers! not on here that often ;-)

The standard 1.8T head gasket won't clear the 83mm pistons, I used an OEM gasket from an ALT code 2L 20V N/A engine, works perfectly.

Part No. 06B103383AF

Yeah I had some concerns when fitting it I would run into the above issues, touch wood in my case everything seemed to clear fine, although not 100% sure how much the comp ratio would increase taking into account the reduction in thickness..??

Ah cool. It's not something I'm likely to be doing any time soon, if ever, but interesting to see how the little details are resolved.

Had a cracking day @ Badger 5 yesterday! Car made 363bhp, really happy with the results considering the restriction the T25 manifold & internal wasted gate can have.

Goes like a guided missile now :D

It's pretty frantic & alot of fun now! :)

The map is very progressive & the gear dependant boost really helps put the power down in the first few gears.

Future plans maybe 12 months down the line will probably be to change to an external waste gate setup & tubular manifold but more than happy with it at the moment.
