Mk 2 Leon FR Tdi Power Delivery

Recently changed my Corsa Arctic VXR for the Leon. (Bluefin now installed ) Only thing I miss about the Arctic is the looks and exhaust pops and bangs lol.

With regards to the power delivery of the diesel engine, am I right in saying that the power band ends around 3500rpm ?. It's just that I was sitting in third gear around 50mph with the revs around 3000rpm. I put my foot down to overtake and did not feel very much pull as the power band seemed to end about two secs later.

First experience of driving a diesel car?
The power band finishes on the fr where the vxr just starts to get going.
Not really much point in going over 4000 rpm in the fr as there is little to be had.
If you want to get similar performance to the vxr then think about a remap, you can get just over 200hp!

yeah keep within 2000 to 4000 rpm for the best performance.
