Hi all,

Just had my windscreen replaced after it developed a 2 foot long crack at the very bottom. Seat said it was a stone chip, I think stress fracture, anyway I had to pay for some of it via my insurance.

What I am wondering is where the dashboard meets the very bottom of the window there seems to be a gap. I can push the tips of my fingers down and can feel fabric or some other sort of material. The edge of the dash board is rough and has tab bits sticking out like the parapit of a castle if that makes sence. I tried to photograph this but its not any good.

Can anyone tell me is there something missing such as a rubber strip etc. or are all the dashes like this when you put your hand down at the window ?

Thanks for any help

David

RAC Windscreens took four attempts to fit the screen on the Alfa 145. Two of them weren't put in straight, and one exploded the next day due to a stress fracture.

If you get a good fitter, then they are fine.

Simon.
