I recently purchased a diagnostic reader for my Leon Cupra TDI. I have fault reading that says 'misfire'. Could this be a dodgy connection or more? Any help please!

It just came up as misfire.

I will plug in again, but i deleted the misfire reading to see if it comes back again!

Hmmmmm, I will plug it in again later. It says to plug in before turning the ignition on, then turn on the ignition so that it will read. Hope i haven't got a dodgey reader!

The engine management light has not come back on again yet! It feels like it's running a bit rough. Had it serviced 1500 miles ago!

Any ideas?

I bought the reader fron Lonelec last week, it picks up faults but as I erazed it !! no doubt the light will come back on soon! I will plug it in again in a mo and see if it picks anything up.

Yep, as I thought.... plugged it in and no DTC's. Scrolled through the I/M and the only thing that came up was CCM - 'not ready'? was does this mean?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, the engine management light is back on, so I plugged in my U480 MEMOSCAN. It has picked up a fault but it won't tell me what it is!!!!!

It reads: / 1.DTC / FAULT: 01 PEND: 00 / N/A 01/01

Reading the manaul, N/A means - The monitor is not supported on that vehicle...... What!!!!??? I e-mailed the seller to specifically ask if it would work!

Is it me, the scanner or the guy i bought it from...

Really frustrated now!!

Also under 3. I/M / MISFIRE N/A / FUEL READY / CCM READY / CAT N/A / HCM N/A / EVAP N/A / 2AIR N/A A/C N/A / 02S N/A / HO2S N/A / EGR READY.

What does all this mean?

Help please...i bought the scanner to save time and money, but just getting stressed now!!!

Thanks
