As above, Mrs Cupra R broke my mirror.

I have a new passenger side mirror and have had it sprayed. Its ready to go on and rather me pay someone to fit it I wouldnt mind having a crack myself.

Has anyone done this or something similar? Just wanted to know if there is anything I need to watch out for? Or is it straight forward?

Somebody said the doorcards are a pain to get off as they are stuck in place as well as being clipped?

Ive tried searching but cant find the answer im looking for.

Any advice is appreciatted

door cards are a piece of piss to take off mate theres just 2 screws by the door handles then just pop it off round the edges 1 clip at a time, they do break quick easy so you may want to buy some replacement door trip clips from halfrauds or somewhere similar. The mirror plate itself should only be held on by 3 screws which you'l see when you take off the tweeter cover

Cool,

sounds easy enough then:). Are the door cards stuck on as well as being clipped on? Or is that a load of old cobble?

No they aren't stuck on. Get a flat head screwdriver, gently prise them out.

If they drop off, just slot them back into the door trim before banging the door trim back on.

If you've got manual adjusters, be very careful taking the joystick out as the clips go brittle ... I only prised mine open about 2mm and it just shattered.

Doddle to change, 3 bolts and that is it .. job done.

I had problems with the temp sensor after I changed mine. It just kept reading 0c. If this happens, try leaving the radio on for a few minutes without the key in the ignition ... you should be able to see the thing gradually climbing in temperature. if this doesn't work do the same but put the key in the ignition and set it at different positions ...

I fitted mine with engine running as I'm a wimp and wanted the heater on. I definately had to turn the engine off and turn the radio on to calibrate the sensor ... not sure whether I had to turn the key or not ... you'll soon find out anyhow!
