Upgraded from a MIB 1 unit to MIB 2 through a specialist. All coded and works really well. Only slight little disappointment is the voice calls and sat nav announcements only go through the small tweeters near each front door. Previous unit had any sound go through every speaker. The guy said this is how it is. Anyone know of a way to get voice calls and announcements to go through all speakers like the previous unit. Is this standard for MIB 2 units factory installed?

How's the quality of music/radio? If it sounds a bit flat/not quite right it's probable the unit came from a car with different number of speakers and, as East Yorks Retro says above, it then needs proper parameterisation/coding.. this is not that straightforward for non-specialists unless you are technically minded. To give you a flavour - this link is just a small part of the rabbit hole I went down doing a MIB1 to MIB2 conversion when discovering the donor unit was from a car without SeatSound and my sound was being fed to wrong speakers with poor bass/treble: https://mqb-blog.com/en/2022/02/21/sound-dataset/

The first thing is getting the number & type of speakers coded correctly first then loading up the correct 'parameters' for the sound - if you have SeatSound and a sub-woofer in your boot you might be able to use the files I used (with the Android ODB app called CarScanner Pro) - hat tip to forum user 'LeonLad' who found that fix:

All at your own risk! The alternative is pay someone who knows what they are doing (doesn't sound like the outfit you used did!)

The sound is fine, actually better than it was before. Yes i have Seat Sound. The only issue is the voice calls and announcements only go through the tweeters.
The unit will require parameterisation and coding. It’s likely that isn’t all that’s incorrect. Have you done a diagnostic scan?
I do not have anything to do any scanning with. Yorkshire is a bit far for me to go though...
