I have a 2019 1.5 petrol DSG Ateca excellence. 50k on the clock, ever since I have had the car Oct 2024 there has been a mechanical ticking noise coming from the steering column ( could easily be from elsewhere and travel through the steering column) there is no pattern to it or how long it stays on. I have driver plenty of cars in the pasts, new and old and never heard it before. the car is being looked at but getting the impression they are struggling. It also went in with an intermittent EPC light which only comes on when the engine is cold. No fault codes stored but when EPC light is on gives the code P0148.
The ticking noise is extremely annoying, has anybody experienced this before and/or give an idea what it may be please
