Strange one this....

Never had any probs with my locking or alarm but on Sat morning the alarm was going off for no reason so beeped it off just though it was one of those things..

Then it went off again last night so beeped it and thought, hang on, no indicator flashing when it locked (usually notice it as im blinded by orange light for the next hour!), made the right noises but no lights. I also noticed the red warning light on the door pin was flashing faster than normal. Another thing is if I keep pressing the lock button on the key fob it makes the noises of unlocking and re locking but you cant open the doors (it's defo not the dead lock/unlock noise if you press it twice etc )
Got back from work tonight, locked it and 10 mins later alarm is going off!!

A little confused, Frosts cant get it in until Weds so a little bug*&^d..

Any ideas? Could it be battery in the key fob?

I had a similar problem with my old car with the alarm randomly going off, lights intermittent etc and it was caused by a dodgy negative connection to the battery. Yours sound a little bit worse than mine but I hope you get it sorted.

I had a similar problem with my old Ibiza. It turned out to be the bonnet switch in the end. It had fallen off the mounting so it didn't know that it was shut and so the car wouldn't lock properly. Have you tried disabling the interior sensors using the button btw?

To make things more confusing I have just been out to have another look and it's locking fine now, orange lights as it should and when I press the lock button on the key fob after a few secs the indicators just flash instead of making the locking noises..... :wtf:

I seem to be coming across that brick wall and head analogy quite often at the moment...

disconnect batt, open and close All doors and bonnet then re connect batt, see if that fixes it.

That button has never worked, to be honest with you I don't think the interior sensors have ever worked considering I can leave the windows open and lock it and the alarm never goes off! Only goes off if I open the boot or door (when locked) or when I dont want it too!
