Hi all, bought my lcr around a month ago now off the bay and ive loved every minute so far! gf`s now jelouse lol.
The bloke i got it off was abit brain dead so say the least and mechanically let the car go, but i got it for a good price so it left some money to spend.
Replaced so far:
2 lamber sensors, 4 coil packs, temp sensor, maf sensor, map sensor, oil pressure sensor, plugs, tyres, wipers and a good service filters ect.
After it ran nicely so moding starts here.
Mods so far:
Remap, full recaro interior, forge dv, hid kit and cosmetics - new r badges, new splitter.
Got a few plans that ill go into later.
cheers, matt

Nice car mate
How come you replaced all of the above?
Shame about the previous owner, you also get alot of people who think they are doing the right thing by servicing car with rubbish oil, this is just as bad for a oil cooled turbo'd car.

If you need any advice on mods just ask;)

Have fun with the car. Be aware that the illegal spacing on your plate is gonna get you pulled by the Police sooner rather than later.

Never thought about that, ill but a new set then and laquer them before they go on. I used millers oil - all the scoobys use it so it must be ok.
I changed all of the above because it needed doing, car was running abit ruff when i got it and running very ritch. When it whent on the scanner it all became clear, codes for everything! lol

After alot of thought im going to go ahead with the first big mod. Some nice big shiny discs!
Im going for 350mm two piece discs and spacing out the brembo`s.
On the bay at the min is a pair of 350mm discs of off slr race cars. Although used theres still loads of life in them and there going to save me 100`s compered to new ones. The disc hubs and spacers will all be custom made from billit alloy.
To make sure the discs will fit before i spent anything, today i had the wheel off and mocked up the spacing of the caliper.

The standerd discs are 323mm. New are 350mm. Thats 27mm differnce. This means the caliper has to be moved 13.5mm out. I found some 12mm thick nuts and put the wheel back on. As you can see it all misses with about 7mm left untill the rim so the new discs should fit nicely.
Ill update when the discs are here.

Which Millers oil do you use?

I've used this since 10,000 mile service (I'm now at 90,000 miles). I started using their good stuff and now using there very expensive stuff and oil changing at 6,000 miles

With all the projects ive done ive had custom parts made by a friend at sts engineering. Hes realy good at what he does, making cranks and cod rods for drag bikes at pod at the min.
Going to have the spacers machined at the same time to make sure there proper as brakes are quite a big safty thing lol. Also longer higher tensile bolts.

conversion will cost as little as pos. The discs are £150 (used). The spacers and hub i have yet to get a price on, but will not be much.

Few more problems with the leon this weekend, firstly i hit a curb. Scuffed the wheel, poped the tyre ect... so bit annoyed. The driveshaft came lose, the 6 bolts were lose and one was missing and also i think the exhaust is now blowing. I first thought i was losing boost with a split in the pipe but listening out the window while driving it sounds like the exhaust. I think it would the the manifold on the turbo? to lose boost it must be?
Sorting that out tomoro.

On the mods i fitted the pipercross panel filter. Pulls alot better - well pleased. One good thing!

it was the exhaust mani off the turbo. Nice quick job and pleased it wasnt anything bigger.

I have just orderd a pair of goodyear eagle asymmetrics. Alot of people rate them highly on here and got them for a good price of off blackcircles.com. Hoping i will get some grip now!

For a boost gauge i was looking at this little computor that fits in an air vent. Its got everything on it but its 200 quid. Just gota work abit more lol. Anything i put in i want to be smart.
