I have a 2007 seat leon with a 2.0tdi engine, but I can't find the MAP (otherwise known as air intake sensor and thrust sensor). I've removed the air filter and housing etc, but I can't find it. I've bought a new replacement vw original MAP and I would love to fit it, if only I could find where it is. Any help appreciated?

It's definately not the MAF, I've ready replaced that. I cannot see it on the pipe coming from the intercooler. MAP is manifold absolute pressure sensor. The dealers called it a thrust sensor and others call it an air intake sensor.

Have a look at all the pipes that go into the intercooler and the intercooler itself. All posts I've read about the MAP sensor indicate that's where it should be.

Many thanks, looks like I wasted my time removing the hoses and air filter assembly (I was looking at the diagram for the altea).

I will have a look tomorrow, and thanks again.

This is where ETKA shows the location of the THRUST SENSOR for the 2.0 TDi (BKD) engine. It's no.18

Many thanks Timsawf, I have now found it. The hex screws holding are very rusty. I have tried all sizes of hex bits, but I am not having much joy. Would anyone know what size the hex screws are?

Not sure which ones you're having problems with. Not sure if this will help.

6B .... 4.8x13 Hexagon Head Panel Screw
17 .... 5x22 Oval Head Panel Screw
19 .... M10x30 Hexagon Bolt
19A ... M6x25 Hexagon Socket Head Bolt, self locking

Timsawf, Thanks again for the info, the 2 rusty screws must be the 5x22 Oval Head Panel Screws. I just went to my local car parts/tools shop for a bit to remove the screws with, and the guy in there said he wouldn't how I would get hold of such a bit. Anyone know where I could buy one from?

I know it's a bit late today but you will probably have to replace them if they're that rusty. Why not buy 2 new ones from a dealer then you will have a better chance of getting the right bit to fit. They're only about 30p each.
The part no. is N 901 720 04

Timsawf, Your help is much appreciated. I was hoping to get it done by tomorrow, but if need be I will hopefully get the screws from my local skoda dealer on monday, and as you suggested, at least i will know the right size bit to get. Thanks again.
